CARLA PENGILLY
Cyanotypes were invented by Sir John Herschel in 1841. Cyanotype photography is a camera-less technique that involves painting light sensitive iron based chemicals onto paper or fabric and developing them in the sun. I use my garden, the Thames Path and Dorset beaches as a source for plants, objects and seaweed. Currently I have been combining Cyanotype images with water colours to create a new collection of work.
