CHARLIE EVANS

I draw and photograph landscapes from direct observation then develop these primary studies into more abstracted forms, trying to intensify atmosphere and colour while retaining the underlying components of the landscape. Taking influence from American modernists, I work in acrylic, watercolour and household emulsion on plywood and paper.
