Hokolo
Hokolo reflects founder Jen Taylor’s dual heritage, shaped by growing up in Hong Kong and building her life in London. The brand blends Hong Kong’s layered visual energy with London’s cosmopolitan design culture, creating a fusion that underpins Jen’s aesthetic. With training in architecture, she brings a strong sense of structure, proportion, and clarity to her work, balanced by a love of colour, pattern, and the beauty of everyday objects. Hokolo became the place where precision meets play.
Today, the studio centres on unique, one‑off ceramic pieces, all handmade by Jen in a community studio in south London. Working in small batches, she creates wheel‑thrown forms that pair clean, modernist lines with rich textures, bold colour, and subtle influences from traditional Chinese and Japanese pottery. Each piece carries the harmony of architectural discipline and tactile warmth, resulting in functional artworks that reflect her cross‑cultural roots and material curiosity.
