Kaori HOMMa
Homma uses a distinctive Fire Etching technique, Aburidashi, an arresting process that employs invisible ink and flame to reveal images through burning. Homma’s method draws on historical use in espionage, where messages were concealed in plain sight until exposed by heat. In her hands, the technique becomes both material and metaphor: fire scorches paper to uncover what has been deliberately obscured, leaving behind fragile yet irreversible traces.
