YASEMIN GAVA

Yasemin is an Italian-Turkish multidisciplinary artist based in Brockly, working primarily in painting. Her practice explores intuitive colour, texture, and introspection, often depicting landscapes and memories shaped by nostalgia and close observation of the world around her. Working with acrylics, oils, and oil pastels, she approaches painting as a way to investigate both real and perceived environments through an experimental, process-led method that prioritises sensation and colour harmony.

In recent years, her work has expanded into ceramics and sculpture, where her painterly language becomes tactile and three-dimensional. These exploratory forms extend her interest in surface and the physicality of making both functional and non-functional objects. Across media, her work remains rooted in observation yet guided by instinct. She is currently a resident artist at County Hall, London, where she continues to develop her evolving practice.
